I grew up on Lake Ontario and went to a small private art school in Western New York State. From there I went on to live in Florence, Berlin, New York City and Austin. While living in these cities I was inspired by street culture, high end fashion, graffiti and the hustle and bustle. Now, I live in Terlingua, Texas. Terlingua is a rural ghost town on the US Mexico boarder. I spend my time intrigued by the cacti, clouds, calmness and climate of the Chihuahuan Desert. I feel nourished by the light, sounds, colors, and smells of the desert. My studio is in a large adobe casita on Terlingua Creek overlooking the Chisos Mountains with a view into Mexico. My time in Mexico has enriched my interest in bold primary colors portrayed against earthy neutrals.
